Profile:

Referrals to the Face 2 Face service in Birmingham can be made by parents or local professionals (with the parent's consent).

If you would like more information or are interested in becoming a befriender, please contact the scheme co-ordinator.

Additional information about the service:

This service is also offering a bi-lingual telephone 'help-line' manned by 3 trained parent befrienders who speak, between them, 4 'Asian' languages.

They will take details and the scheme co-ordinator will then arrange for a parent to be contacted by a bi-lingual worker from a relevant voluntary or statutory organisation that meet their needs.  The caller may also want to refer themselves to the Face 2 Face befriending service, in this instant they will be matched with one of the bi-lingual befrienders.
