Profile:
To recruit and train
volunteer parent (of children who have a learning disability)
befrienders in order to emotionally support, empower and encourage
parents whose child has just been diagnosed with a learning
disability, or who is going through a particularly stressful
time in relation to their child's disability.
The project is funded
by NHSSB and is co-ordinated by Positive Futures.
It covers the Ballymoney,
Coleraine and Moyle districts of Northern Ireland.
